Representative Josh Williams, who serves Ohio's 41st district in the Ohio House of Representatives, posted a series of statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account on September 16 and 17, 2025. The posts included reflections on local political engagement, commentary on national political discourse, and an account of his legal defense work.

On September 16, Williams expressed gratitude for a recent event with local party members: "Thank you to the Defiance County Republican Club for welcoming me to your meeting last night. I was honored to share my story and lay out my vision for how we can deliver new conservative leadership for OH-09!"

Later that day, Williams addressed what he described as a divisive issue in American politics: "We have a sickness in our country and it's not on 'both sides.' Only one side is currently in denial about the fact that a significant group of people in their movement publicly cheers on politically-motivated assassinations."

On September 17, Williams highlighted his past work as an attorney by sharing the story of Vontae Garrett: "Meet Vontae Garrett. He's an Army veteran and a former Indiana special deputy. Three years ago, I successfully defended him in court when he was charged with murder despite video evidence showing he acted in self-defense to protect his family. We won the case and he was"

Williams is known both for his legislative work and prior career as a criminal defense attorney. He has represented constituents from Lucas County since being elected to the Ohio House of Representatives.
