Ohio's housing market experienced significant growth in June, as reported by Ohio REALTORS. Home sales for the month reached 12,276, marking a 7.1% increase from the previous year's figure of 11,461. The average sales price rose to $275,000, up 5.7% from June 2024.
"The momentum we're seeing this summer signals renewed buyer confidence and a strong seasonal push,” said Ohio REALTORS President Michelle Billings. “With interest rates showing signs of settling and more sellers entering the market, the pace of transactions is picking up as we enter the summer homebuying season. An Ohio REALTOR is a professional partner, guiding buyers and sellers through the intricate process of home buying and selling to achieve their housing goals successfully.”
New listings also saw an increase, reaching 35,305 statewide in June—an 11.1% rise compared to June 2024's 31,774 listings. This boost reflects growing seller confidence as the year progresses.
Despite tight inventory with a statewide supply of 3.44 months—below the six-month benchmark for a balanced market—the figure represents a 12% year-over-year improvement.
