Rep. Joyce Beatty, currently serving Ohio's 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, shared several significant updates on social media on February 5, 2025. These updates reflect her active involvement in various political and social issues.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Beatty expressed her stance against Elon Musk's access to federal payments through a protest outside the U.S. Treasury. She stated: " I joined my @RepMaxineWaters, my @USHouseFSC colleagues and over 1,000 protesters outside the U.S. Treasury to say loud and clear: ELON MUSK HAS GOT TO GO! Musk and his cronies now have access to $5 TRILLION in annual federal payments—your Social Security checks, tax refunds,…" This statement highlights her concern regarding the control of significant federal funds.

Later that day, she introduced new legislation to commemorate Rosa Parks on her birthday. Beatty tweeted: "Tonight, on the birthday of Ms. Rosa Parks, I introduced the Rosa Parks Commemorative Coin Act to honor her legacy with coins bearing her image. Parks inspired countless people to continue the fight for justice, regardless of the naysayers." Her initiative aims to honor Rosa Parks' contribution to civil rights.

Additionally, Beatty addressed a tragic event in New Albany through another tweet: "My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and everyone impacted by the shooting in New Albany. This is a heartbreaking moment for our Central Ohio community." She acknowledged the swift response from first responders while emphasizing safety concerns within communities.
