At the start of a new year, many individuals take the opportunity to set resolutions aimed at personal improvement. Marilou Butcher Roth, a Master Coach and owner of The MBR Group, offers an alternative approach for 2025. Instead of traditional resolutions, Roth suggests identifying three words that encapsulate the qualities one wishes to embody throughout the year.

Roth has been involved with an organization in Colorado that conducts classes on meditation and related subjects. Through this involvement, she learned about the practice of selecting three words annually to guide personal growth. She shares her own experiences with this method: "Just to give you some ideas, my words in 2024 were Joy, Freedom and Vitality. This year, my new words are Amazement, Fun and Connection."

Roth emphasizes that these guiding words can complement conventional resolutions: "Creating your words sets the tone for your year, and you can also continue to do your resolutions as usual ~ what a great combination!"

Roth is well-established in her field. She is not only the owner of The MBR Group but also the Broker/Owner of Group REALTORS in Cincinnati. Her work focuses primarily on coaching REALTORS towards a more inspired way of working and living.

Additionally, Roth serves as a member of the Ohio REALTORS Board of Directors and is a past chairman of its Communications Committee.
