Bexley Recreation & Parks issued the following announcement on Mar 4.
In accordance with the updated guidance from FCPH, starting Monday, March 7th, the Recreation Department will move to "mask optional" for all programming. Please note, there may be a few individual programs that will provide separate policies.
- We will continue to echo FCPH guidance in strongly encouraging all individuals who may be at higher risk for severe outcomes of COVID-19 (e.g. immune-compromised or unvaccinated) to consider continuing to mask while at Rec programs.
- We encourage participants to consider the type of program and the age of the participants, and strongly recommend (not require) mask use at programs with children age 4 and under as they are not eligible for the vaccine.
We will continue to support those individuals and families that prefer to wear masks. We understand this is a process and that every individual has their own level of comfort with these ever changing policies. Thank you for your continued support and understanding during these difficult times.
