Franklin County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Mar 2.

PASS THE PUP.  The FCSO Therapy K9 Unit congratulates the Delaware County, OHIO, Sheriff's Office on a very handsome Therapy K-9 In-Training, Otto.  Delaware County Sheriff, Russ Martin, officially introduced Deputy Keith Cox and his new K9 to the community Tuesday morning.  Cox and Otto will partner to work tirelessly providing comfort, support, and strength in trauma and crisis situations.  The nature of their mission is why it’s so incredibly appropriate that K9 Otto is named in honor of Delaware County Deputy, Dan Otto, who served the community for 14-years before losing his life in a vehicle crash.  “Never to be forgotten,” said Sheriff Martin.

K9 Otto’s new best buddies, FCSO Therapy K9s Mattis and Kit, provided a little moral support during Otto’s first of many moments in the spotlight. He will attend the FCSO Community Relations Dog Therapy Program, the first of it’s kind in Ohio, before he goes to work full time in the Delaware County community.

The FCSO is proud to provide support and guidance to help prepare Otto for his mission of service before self.  Welcome to the team, buddy.
