Congressman Mike Carey, who represents Ohio’s 15th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets this week highlighting local political developments and legislative efforts.

On July 22, 2025, Carey acknowledged the passing of Kimberly Marinello, a member of the Franklin County Board of Elections. In his post, he stated: "This week, the Franklin County Board of Elections, and central Ohio, lost Kimberly Marinello to brain cancer. While we weren't always on the same side politically, she was an honest public servant. Today, I had the opportunity to honor her service at a @HouseAdmin hearing: https://t.co/Qm9ogKMmIF".

The following day, on July 23, Carey addressed recent legislative activity by House Republicans. He wrote: "Our @HouseGOP reconciliation law delivers on two simple promises: No tax on tips or overtime! https://t.co/f6b3XcVPsy". Later that day he shared additional information about the bill with colleagues Rep. Greg Landsman and Rep. Max Miller: "Read more about the bill with @RepGregLandsman @RepMaxMiller here: https://t.co/BWZl5NBBYp".

Carey has represented Ohio’s 15th District since replacing Steve Stivers in 2021. Born in Sabina in 1971 and currently residing in Columbus, Carey graduated from Ohio State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
