On May 10, Beatty acknowledged federal workers during Public Service Recognition Week. She stated, "This #PublicServiceRecognitionWeek, I’m celebrating federal workers—the engine of our democracy. You power the programs, protections, and progress that keep government working for the people. You bring our laws to life and provide stability across administrations. THANK YOU."
The following day, on May 11, she extended greetings for Mother's Day to various maternal figures in society. In her message, she expressed gratitude by saying "Happy Mother's Day! To every mother, grandmother, bonus mom, and mother figure out there: thank you for your unwavering love, your resilience, and your care. You are the heart, the strength, and the steady hands of our communities."
Later that same day on May 11th at nightfall , Beatty reflected on Mother’s Day from a political perspective as a member of the Democratic Women’s Caucus. Joyce Beatty has been serving in Congress since succeeding Mike Turner in 2013 after previously holding office in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1999 to 2008. Born in Dayton in 1950 and now residing in Columbus at age 73 , she holds a BA from Central State University obtained in 1972.
