Congressman Mike Carey, who has been representing Ohio’s 15th district since 2021, shared updates on his recent activities through a series of tweets. Carey, born in Sabina, Ohio in 1971 and an Ohio State University alumnus, currently resides in Columbus.

On May 9, 2025, Carey tweeted about his meeting with Retired U.S. Army Col. William Butler, Acting President for the National Veterans Memorial & Museum. The meeting took place as preparations were underway for an Honor Flight scheduled to return to the John Glenn International Airport. He expressed gratitude towards veterans by stating "What an awesome way to show gratitude towards https://t.co/iTHXmGRERD".

Later that day, he extended his appreciation to attendees of his Veterans’ Wellness Day event. In his tweet from May 9, he mentioned how rewarding it was to connect with veterans and active duty service members and assist them in accessing their earned benefits: "Thank you to everyone who stopped by my Veterans’ Wellness Day today! It was great to meet with veterans and active duty service members and help them access all the benefits they earned when they put on the uniform."

On May 11, Carey wished a Happy Mother’s Day via Twitter while celebrating with his family in London, Ohio. He praised a local establishment by tweeting "Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there. Celebrating today with my family in London, Ohio. The Butcher’s Block never disappoints!"

Mike Carey has been serving diligently since replacing Steve Stivers in Congress and continues to engage actively with both constituents and fellow service members.
