She acknowledges that some consider luck as a random gift, while others believe in the notion that "the harder you work, the luckier you get." Roth doesn't fully resonate with either perspective, suggesting there might be an easier way.

She explores a third option introduced by Hendricks: bringing more consciousness into one's perception of luck. Hendricks shares a story about a boy who believed himself to be inherently lucky from an early age. This mindset shift intrigued Roth and prompted her to consider whether simply changing one's outlook could enhance feelings of luck.

Roth clarifies that she isn't providing definitive answers but encouraging curiosity about personal experiences with luck. Her own awareness has increased by reflecting on periods in her life where she felt fortunate. She suggests this reflection could be a beneficial starting point for others as well.
