City of Worthington issued the following announcement on Feb 5.
A big THANK YOU to Worthington's snow warriors! They have been working around the clock since 3am Thursday morning to get every street cleared of snow and ice, in addition to the public parking lots and walkways. As of Friday afternoon, the main roads are clear to the pavement and crews are working to get every neighborhood street plowed and treated. We expect all streets to be clear by Friday night or early Saturday.
Remember to help crews out by keeping cars off the road, so they can plow curb to curb, giving emergency vehicles the space they need to get through. Also, when shoveling your driveway remember to pile the snow on the far side of the driveway away from the flow of traffic. This will help keep snow from being pushed back into your drive when the plows come through. And, as always, be sure to shovel your sidewalks and help others in your neighborhood who may need additional assistance.
Also, a big shout out to the Local Waste crews who are battling snowy streets and mounds of snow to pick up your trash, recycling and yard waste.
All of our service crews are all doing a tremendous job keeping our neighborhoods clean and safe, and providing our community with top-notch service.
