Columbus median home prices rose by 21.6% in the second half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Columbus rose by $40,000 while total sales increased by 61.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 4,289 homes sold, with a median sale price of $225,000 - a 21.6% increase over the $185,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,655 homes sold in Columbus in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Columbus for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,665, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
