Home prices increased in Columbus during the third quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Columbus rose by $46,050 while total sales increased by 69.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 2,220 homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,950 - a 24.9% increase over the $184,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,307 homes sold in Columbus in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Columbus for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,665, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
