Congressman Mike Carey, who represents Ohio’s 15th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing local economic development, national history, and ongoing federal budget negotiations.

On September 15, Carey shared his participation in a local event: "Great to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Cardinal Health Consumer Health Logistics Center in Columbus this morning before heading back to Washington. More jobs and better care for our communities!" (September 15, 2025).

Two days later, he commemorated Constitution Day by reflecting on the nation's founding document: "On this day 238 years ago, 39 delegates signed the U.S. Constitution, signifying the beginning of our Republic and setting the framework for America to become the greatest country in the world. Happy Constitution Day!" (September 17, 2025).

Later that same day, Carey addressed concerns about a potential government shutdown and its impact on military personnel: "A government shutdown means service members could miss a paycheck. I do not want that to happen. Passing a clean CR is the best path forward. More from me on @610wtvnnews:" (September 17, 2025).

Carey has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after succeeding Steve Stivers. He was born in Sabina, Ohio in 1971 and currently resides in Columbus. Carey graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993.
