State Rep. Gary Click | The Ohio House of Representatives
Rep. Gary Click, a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, posted a series of reflections on social media following the anniversary of September 11. His tweets addressed public responses to tragedy and highlighted his participation in a local memorial event.
On September 11, 2025, Rep. Click commented on how people react during times of crisis. He wrote, "I just have to say that when tragedy strikes you learn about the moral fiber of some people, though most do not surprise me. Decent people have situational awareness and self-restraint. Fools have neither and don’t even let the body grow cold before blaming the victim and trying".
Later that evening, he shared his experience at a commemorative event: "It was an honor to speak at the 9/11 Memorial tonight in the Village of Gibsonburg. My theme was resilience. We had it then and we have it now." (September 12, 2025).
In another post made shortly after midnight on September 12, Rep. Click referenced public reactions to recent events: "So many want to be critical but this is classy. This is the appropriate response. This is how normal people do it. This should not be considered anything but a normal response. Can we get back to normal?"
Rep. Gary Click has represented Ohio's 88th district since January 2021 and has participated in community events such as memorial services marking significant anniversaries like September 11.
