Gayle Manning, an Ohio state senator and former educator, posted a series of messages on her social media account commemorating World Suicide Prevention Day and the anniversary of September 11th.

On September 10, 2025, Manning marked World Suicide Prevention Day with a message encouraging community support for mental health. She wrote, "On #WorldSuicidePreventionDay, we stand together to raise awareness, promote mental health support, and foster hope. Reach out, listen, and connect—help is available." The annual observance aims to raise public awareness about suicide prevention efforts and the importance of accessible mental health resources.

The following day, September 11, 2025, Manning published two posts reflecting on the impact of the terrorist attacks that occurred in the United States in 2001. In one post she stated, "Honoring the lives lost and the heroes who rose on 9/11. We remember, we reflect, we unite #NeverForget". Later that day she shared her participation in a local remembrance event: "This morning, I had the honor of attending the @LorainCountyJVS Patriot Day Ceremony, where students, staff, and community members came together to reflect on the events of September 11th, 2001, honor those lost & celebrate the courage of first responders, both past and present".

September 11 is recognized across the United States as Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance. Communities nationwide hold ceremonies to commemorate those who died in the attacks as well as to recognize first responders' bravery.

Manning has been active in promoting public awareness campaigns related to both mental health issues and civic remembrance days throughout her tenure in public service.
