The Ohio State University Marching Band made its return to Ohio Stadium with several changes for the new season. For the first time since 2001, the band was seated in the north end of the stadium, reviving a previous tradition.

This year also brought technical updates, including enhanced microphones and a separate speaker system designed to improve sound projection throughout the venue.

During halftime of the Buckeyes' game against the University of Texas, the band performed a medley of gospel songs such as “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” “Oh, Happy Day,” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” The performance included formations depicting two saxophones, a smiley face, and two people singing in a choir.

Sean Bauman from Strongsville, Ohio, who holds a degree in saxophone performance, served as Saturday’s i-dotter.
