Rep. Gary Click, a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, posted several tweets in August 2025 reflecting on safety in Washington, D.C., local historical preservation efforts, and the legacy of Dr. Dobson.

On August 20, 2025, Click commented on his sense of security while visiting the nation's capital. He wrote: "Never felt safer in the nation’s Capital!! Make DC Safe Again."

The following day, Click highlighted the significance of preserving local history with a tweet about a historic schoolhouse. On August 21, he stated: "The Chippewa one room schoolhouse in Riley township is worth preserving. Back in the day there was a school every two every two miles so no one had to walk more than a mile. This is the only one left out of 116 in Sandusky County. Notice the 1912ish map of Africa and antique" The tweet draws attention to both the rarity and historical value of this remaining structure.

Later that same day, Click reflected on Dr. Dobson's influence on American families after his passing: "Dr. Dobson had a profound and positive effect on the families of American. Many are greeting him at heaven’s gate and saying 'Thank you.'"

The Chippewa one-room schoolhouse referenced by Click is notable as it is reportedly the last surviving example among 116 such schools once present in Sandusky County—a testament to changing educational infrastructure over time.

Click has used his social media presence to address both national concerns—such as public safety—and issues related to heritage preservation within his home state.
