Representative Josh Williams, who serves Ohio's 9th congressional district, posted a series of statements on August 19, 2025, addressing federal immigration law, school nutrition standards, and U.S. trade policy.
In his first post of the day, Williams raised concerns about current immigration policies: "Today I took my concerns to the White House that federal law allowed a 24-year-old illegal immigrant to enroll in a public high school with no oversight. My first priority in Congress for OH-09 will be to end this dangerous loophole." (August 19, 2025).
Later that evening, Williams commented on food policy in schools and praised Secretary Kennedy’s initiatives: "Secretary Kennedy’s leadership on health is changing how we view food in America. Schools must remove ultra-processed foods & harmful dyes—parents deserve to know their kids are being fed meals that protect their long-term health." (August 19, 2025).
In his final post of the day, Williams discussed trade policy following a conversation with Howard Lutnick: "Great discussion with Howard Lutnick on President Trump’s tariff policies. The aggressive trade stance of the Trump administration is fueling massive economic growth and helping close our trade deficit with nations that have taken advantage of America for decades." (August 19, 2025).
Josh Williams has represented Ohio's ninth congressional district since January 2023.
