Rep. Joyce Beatty, who represents Ohio’s 3rd congressional district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on her recent activities and priorities through a series of posts on July 31, 2025.

In a post published at 01:23 UTC, Beatty welcomed the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) American Dreams Tour to Columbus, highlighting Democratic efforts in support of the LGBTQ+ community. She wrote, "I was thrilled to welcome the @HRC American Dreams Tour to Columbus, and share all the work Democrats are doing to stand with the LGBTQ+ community — because the American Dream belongs to everyone. Thanks for visiting us HRC, and thank you, Kelley, for all you do to fight for".

Later that day at 12:00 UTC, Beatty recognized her district office interns and staff in another post: "ICYMI: A special shoutout to our District Office interns, Amara, Hannah, Christian, and our former intern, turned District Aide, Ronan! Thanks for all the work you do to address the needs of our constituents, here at home!"

In an evening post at 21:03 UTC addressing national policy issues affecting Ohioans, Beatty criticized legislation backed by Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans. She stated: "There's no question: Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans' Big Ugly Law is a betrayal of hardworking Ohioans. That's why, I joined Democrats all across the country on Medicare and Medicaid Day of Action to make sure our constituents know what's at stake."

Joyce Beatty has represented Ohio's 3rd congressional district since 2013 after previously serving in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1999 to 2008. Born in Dayton in 1950 and currently residing in Columbus, she holds a BA from Central State University.
