Congressman Mike Carey, who represents Ohio’s 15th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of updates on July 30, 2025, regarding recent legislative and local initiatives.

On July 30, Carey posted about his support for anti-drug legislation: "I was proud to vote to pass the HALT Fentanyl Act into law. This will help get dangerous fentanyl and its close substitutes out of our communities and save lives." He emphasized the bill's goal of reducing fentanyl-related harm in communities.

Later that day, Carey announced a significant infrastructure grant: "Recently, I secured a $25 million grant from the Department of Transportation to upgrade Alum Creek Drive, including lane expansions and sidewalk improvements. In another post from July 30, Carey highlighted local economic development efforts: "Great to join Sarnova to celebrate the opening of their new Headquarters in Dublin this afternoon! More jobs and innovation helping save lives here in Central Ohio." He attended the event marking Sarnova's new headquarters opening.

Carey has represented Ohio’s 15th district since replacing Steve Stivers in 2021. Born in Sabina, Ohio in 1971, he currently resides in Columbus. He graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993.
