Congressman Mike Carey, representing Ohio’s 15th district since 2021, has recently shared insights into a newly signed law via social media. Born in Sabina, Ohio in 1971 and currently residing in Columbus, Carey graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in 1993.

On July 7, 2025, Carey posted about the new law's alignment with promises made by the President of the United States. He emphasized that "this law makes good on critical promises from @POTUS, including no taxes on tips and no taxes on overtime."

In another post dated July 7, 2025, Carey highlighted the bill's impact on families with children. He stated that "the bill expands the Child Tax Credit (CTC) to $2,200 per child and ties it to inflation so it does not devalue over time." He warned that without this legislation, families would face a reduced CTC of $1,000 next year.

Additionally, on July 7, 2025, Carey expressed his satisfaction with the signing of these tax provisions into law. He described them as "common sense policies to offer relief to our workers and families."
