Congressman Mike Carey, representing Ohio's 15th district since 2021, recently addressed several key issues through a series of tweets. Born in Sabina, Ohio in 1971 and currently residing in Columbus, Carey has been serving in the U.S. Congress after succeeding Steve Stivers.

On June 16, Carey expressed relief over the apprehension of a suspect involved in the murder of Minnesota officials and their loved ones. He stated "I am relieved to see that the suspect wanted for the murder of Minnesota officials and their loved ones has been apprehended." The Congressman condemned political violence as unacceptable and joined his colleagues in mourning those who died while praying for the recovery of those injured.

Later that day, Carey highlighted his visit to a local facility aimed at combating substance abuse. He tweeted on June 16 "Great to tour the Franklin County Crisis Center in Columbus this morning." He emphasized the center's role in addressing the opioid epidemic and assisting individuals with substance use disorders.

On June 17, Carey reaffirmed his commitment to serving his constituents by fostering bipartisan cooperation. In a tweet from that date, he mentioned "Delivering for my constituents is my highest priority in Congress. That is often sourced from bipartisan cooperation." He shared details about joining a bipartisan group to promote cross-party collaboration.

Carey's educational background includes graduating from Ohio State University with a BA in 1993.
