The Ohio State University Department of Athletics has announced the introduction of a new premium seating section at Ohio Stadium, set to debut in the 2026 football season. This initiative, known as South End Zone Premium Seating, will feature nine field-level suites with a capacity for 12 people each and 400 premium chairback seats situated above these suites.

Senior Vice President and Wolfe Foundation-Eugene Smith Endowed Athletics Director Ross Bjork stated, “We’re proud to introduce a premium seating area on the field level in the south end zone of Ohio Stadium – an investment that reflects our deep commitment to enhancing the fan experience.” He emphasized that this addition is aimed at providing greater comfort and improved access for fans while continuing the modernization of Ohio Stadium.

Fans opting for these new seating options will enjoy proximity to the playing field and exclusive access through the same tunnel used by Ohio State Buckeyes players. The purchase of any of the 400 chairback seats includes full admission to the new 1922 Club, which offers all-inclusive food and drink options before, during, and after games. Deposits for these seats are priced at $6,000 per season and are currently being accepted online until June 27, 2025.

In addition to these developments, the Ohio State University Marching Band will relocate back to its original position in the north end of Ohio Stadium. This move is expected to enhance sound projection due to a concrete foundation in this section compared to metal in the south stands. An upgraded audio system will further improve sound quality for future seasons.

The South End Zone Premium Seating comes with several amenities such as all-inclusive in-seat food service, dedicated restrooms, parking access, and opportunities for away game tickets. The 1922 Club offers game day access with inclusive food and drinks, private restrooms, and exclusive events for members.
