Joyce Beatty, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 3rd district, shared a series of tweets addressing political and legislative matters on June 11, 2025.

In her first tweet, Beatty expressed support for Rep. McIver amid political tensions. She stated, "Rep. McIver did her job. Period. This political stunt won’t silence her or stop Congress from doing its job." She further criticized the Trump Administration by saying it was "another example of an abuse of power...meant to intimidate," and concluded with "It won’t work."

Later that day, Beatty celebrated a legislative success regarding financial institutions. She announced via Twitter that the House Financial Services Committee had passed her bill aimed at assisting small and rural financial institutions by partnering them with larger banks for enhanced training and resources. Her tweet read: "Big win in committee! @USHouseFSC passed my bill to help small and rural financial institutions team up with big banks..."

In another post on the same day, Beatty invited followers to tune into a segment discussing former President Trump's legislation affecting Michigan residents. Her message encouraged engagement with local policy impacts: "Tune in to today’s Dem Daily Download where we learn more about how Trump’s One Big Ugly Bill will affect our Michigan neighbors!"

Joyce Beatty has been serving in Congress since 2013 after succeeding Mike Turner. Prior to this role, she served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1999 to 2008.
