Ohio State University sees multiple programs ranked in top U.S. News & World Report lists

Graduate and professional programs at The Ohio State University have been recognized in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools edition. Several programs across the university's 15 colleges have been ranked in the nation's top 10.

The College of Nursing's Master of Science degree program ranks No. 3 overall and No. 1 among public colleges, maintaining its position among the top 10 for the seventh consecutive year. Meanwhile, its online Doctor of Nursing Practice program advanced to No. 9 overall and No. 5 among public institutions, rising from No. 19 last year.

Fisher College of Business experienced notable ranking improvements. Its Full-Time MBA program is now at No. 8 among public colleges and 24th overall, while the Working Professional MBA program reached No. 8 overall and No. 5 among public institutions.

The Moritz College of Law's dispute resolution program holds the No. 1 spot nationwide for the second consecutive year. The College of Public Health's Master of Health Administration program climbed to 5th in the U.S.

"Graduate programs at Ohio State continue to demonstrate excellent academic rigor in disciplines that are valued by students and employers alike," stated Ravi V. Bellamkonda, executive vice president and provost. "I am proud that our colleges’ faculty and staff provide our students with the highest quality graduate education through these strong programs."

The 2025 rankings include various highlights across different colleges. Fisher College showcased top 30 placements in specialties such as supply chain and production/operations. The College of Education and Human Ecology's graduate program ranked 27th, with seven out of eight specialties in the top 10.

The College of Engineering, rated first in Ohio, was positioned 27th overall and 13th among public universities. Moritz College of Law held the 28th spot out of 195 accredited law schools, with ten programs in the top 50.

The College of Medicine maintained its tier 1 status for Best Medical Schools: Research and is among the top 16 nationally. The John Glenn College of Public Affairs ranked 16th overall with several specialty placements, maintaining its top 10% position for the 11th year.

The College of Public Health ranks 22nd nationally, the highest in Ohio. Similarly, the College of Veterinary Medicine stands 4th in the U.S., celebrating a history of excellence in education, research, and patient care.

Ohio State offers more than 102 doctoral and 127 master’s programs, serving over 14,000 graduate and professional students.
