Roth emphasizes the importance of eye contact during conversations. "When you are having a conversation with someone and your eyes are focused elsewhere, the value of the moment is diminished," she notes.
She advises against using absolute terms like "never" and "always" in discussions. Another key point is maintaining an attentive loop between oneself and others in conversation: "Notice what is happening to you during the conversation and with the other person."
Tone awareness is also highlighted as critical, as sometimes words can convey unintended meanings. Roth stresses not interrupting others, suggesting that one should allow others to complete their thoughts before responding. She concludes by encouraging full listening as part of effective communication.
