Marilou Butcher Roth, owner of The MBR Group and Broker/Owner of Group REALTORS in Cincinnati, reflects on the significance of appreciating one's immediate surroundings. Recalling a memorable visit to Santa Barbara during her coaching apprentice program, Roth shares an experience that led to an important realization.
While walking along the beach, she encountered a charming ice cream shop that sparked a fleeting wish for similar establishments back home in Cincinnati. This moment prompted her to acknowledge the abundance of enjoyable experiences available locally. "I was not seeking out and enjoying all of the wonderful places that were easily accessible to me," Roth states.
She emphasizes the importance of being present and appreciating what one has nearby, without diminishing the value of travel. "This new thought simply brought me into a place of being present and appreciative of what I have right here," she notes.
Roth encourages readers to delve deeper into this idea, suggesting that fulfillment can often be found within oneself. "Looking 'out there' can be fun, as long as you stay with the idea that there is indeed, no place like home," she concludes.
Roth is also a member of the Ohio REALTORS Board of Directors and a past chairman of its Communications Committee. For those interested in exploring coaching opportunities, Roth invites contact for further discussion.
