Rep. Joyce Beatty, representing Ohio’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of tweets highlighting her recent activities and initiatives. Beatty has been serving since 2013, following her tenure in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1999 to 2008.

On March 6, 2025, Rep. Beatty addressed the public with a message about resistance against what she termed as the "Republican Rip Off," confirmed by President Trump on Tuesday night. She mentioned her efforts alongside Bobby McAlpine, President of the Undergraduate Student Body at The Ohio State University, saying: "ICYMI: On Tuesday night, President Trump confirmed the Republican Rip Off is real—but so is our resistance! Here’s how I spent some of the day pushing back with special guests Bobby McAlpine, President of the Undergraduate Student Body at The Ohio State University, and…"

Later that day, she encouraged high school artists to participate in the Congressional Art Competition. This opportunity allows young artists to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year if they win. Her tweet read: " High school artists—this is your chance to shine! Enter the Congressional Art Competition for a shot at having your artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year! Don’t miss this opportunity to represent our district."

On March 7, Beatty paid tribute to civil rights leaders on #BloodySunday's anniversary while advocating for voting rights legislation named after John Lewis. She expressed her support for Rep. Terri Sewell's initiative: "Today, on the anniversary of #BloodySunday, we honor the brave trailblazers - like the late Congressman John Lewis - who marched for equity and justice... That’s why I’m supporting @repterrisewell’s John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement…"
