The Ohio State University has been recognized as the leading producer of Fulbright U.S. Scholars for the 2024-25 academic year, with 14 scholars receiving the prestigious award. This achievement places Ohio State at the top among all colleges and universities in the United States. Additionally, Ohio State is tied for seventh place among doctoral institutions in the Fulbright U.S. Student program, with 24 students—15 undergraduates and nine graduates—being awarded.
These rankings were announced by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, which also acknowledged Ohio State as one of only 19 institutions to be a top producer for both Fulbright U.S. Student and Scholar programs.
Ohio State's success marks the second time in five years that it has been named the nation’s top producer for Fulbright U.S. Scholars, having previously achieved this distinction during the 2020-21 academic year when it had 15 scholars.

Ohio State's recipients traveled to 27 countries representing various colleges within the university including Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Education and Human Ecology, Medicine, Public Health, Public Affairs, and Veterinary Medicine.
