Joyce Beatty discusses fair pay act anniversary and DEI program elimination concerns

Rep. Joyce Beatty, a U.S. Congress member representing Ohio’s 3rd district, recently shared her views and commitments on social media. On January 29, 2025, she commemorated the anniversary of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, emphasizing its significance in addressing gender pay disparity. "Sixteen years ago today, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act was signed into law, raising awareness to the gender pay gap and setting firmer standards to prevent wage discrimination for hardworking Americans," she stated.

Later that day, Beatty extended greetings for the Lunar New Year to her constituents in Ohio's 3rd district. She conveyed her commitment to fostering economic prosperity and well-being in the coming year by stating: "Happy Lunar New Year, to all who celebrate! As your Representative, I am working diligently to ensure the constituents of OH-03 have a year filled with economic prosperity and good fortune."

On January 30, 2025, Beatty expressed concerns regarding an executive order issued by President Trump aimed at eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs within federal agencies. She warned of potential repercussions: "President Trump’s EO directing federal agencies to eliminate DEI programs is detrimental for the American people - and it has wider consequences than you might expect." Beatty encouraged her followers to stay informed through an accompanying fact sheet.
