Today, Congressman Mike Carey of Ohio's 15th District expressed his views on a lawsuit filed by Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose against the Biden-Harris administration. The lawsuit addresses the denial of access to federal citizenship records.

Carey emphasized the importance of transparency in elections, stating, "Democracy doesn’t take place behind closed doors." He highlighted the need for voters to have confidence that their votes are counted fairly and transparently as they head to the polls next week.

The congressman pointed out that early access to the Systematic Alien Verification and Entitlements (SAVE) database had identified hundreds of non-citizens on Ohio's voter rolls. Carey stressed the necessity for Secretary LaRose to have access to these records to verify voter eligibility accurately.

In support of LaRose's actions, Carey remarked, "We applaud his efforts to continually uphold Ohio as a gold standard of election integrity."
