As the start of the 2024 Ohio State football season approaches, fans planning to visit Ohio Stadium should be aware of several important updates and reminders.

Cannon Drive will not serve as a public throughway on game days due to ongoing construction. Access will be restricted to those with West Stadium parking passes, service vehicles, and security details. Fans with these passes can access the lot from John Herrick Drive or the new entrance at Woody Hayes Drive.

The Department of Athletics is reintroducing its “Be the Best Fans in the Land” initiative, promoting sportsmanship values. Real-time traffic, parking updates, weather information, and emergency notifications are available via Buckeye Alerts by texting OSUFB to 67283. The WaitTime function on the Ohio State Buckeyes app indicates restroom and concession stand wait times.

Upgrades include 20 new television monitors in the C-Deck concourse and renovated A-Deck bathrooms. New video boards have been installed over all A-Deck portal entrances. The Huntington Club now features multiple large television displays.

New food options include Weber grilled burgers and ribeye steak sandwiches in Sections 25A and 26A, along with various specialty hot dogs and Crumbl Cookies. Alcoholic beverages such as Buckeye Vodka and Jameson Irish Whiskey will be available throughout the stadium.

Additional amenities include a Coors Light chill zone at Gate 18A and Corona Buckeye Beach at Gate17A for Mexican food and refreshments. Local craft beers will be featured in select sections. Complimentary menstrual products will be provided in women’s restrooms through a partnership with Aunt Flow.

VIP tours of Ohio Stadium are available on non-game days via OhioStadiumTours.com. Skull Session doors at St. John Arena will open three hours before kickoff this year instead of four.

Game day parking opens at 5 a.m., with all transactions being cashless. Parking maps are available online for guidance on locations around Ohio Stadium.

The Ohio State Buckeyes app offers options for real-time updates, participation in game day experiences, and ordering concessions from mobile devices. Metal detectors are installed at entry gates, while a no-bag policy restricts bag sizes except for medical or childcare needs.

Fans should load digital tickets and parking passes onto their Apple or Google wallets before arriving to expedite entry processes due to potential connectivity issues.

West Campus shuttles will operate six hours prior to kickoff until one hour after games end, transporting fans from Mount Hall loop to Coffey Road Park near Woody Hayes Bridge.

Single game tickets can still be purchased starting at $50 depending on availability through go.osu.edu/fbtix or verified resale platforms like Ticketmaster.com to avoid counterfeit risks.

Revelxp provides full-service tailgating packages for groups of all sizes at Schottenstein Center through Revelxp.com/ohio-state or (614) 957-0822.

This year's game themes include:

- Aug. 31 vs Akron: Archie Griffin Heisman Trophy 50th Anniversary Celebration

- Sept. 7 vs Western Michigan: Alumni Band Day

- Sept. 21 vs Marshall: Scarlet & Gray Game

- Oct. 5 vs Iowa: Hall of Fame Game
