Senator JD Vance (R-OH) and Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) have called for information from Secretary of State Anthony Blinken regarding a controversial publication by a Ukrainian NGO. The article in question identifies Americans, including 21 senators and 116 members of the House, who are accused of "mirroring Kremlin propaganda" due to their opposition to the war in Ukraine and further U.S. aid to the country.

"If this were merely some random news outlet in a foreign nation, such a hit piece would be easily ignored," stated the lawmakers. "But the founder of the group itself, Anatoly Bondarenko, is listed on a U.S. government website as supported by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs."

The legislators emphasized that regardless of one's stance on American foreign aid or support for Ukraine, it is unacceptable for U.S. tax dollars to fund attacks on American citizens based on political disagreements. They highlighted that such attacks should not target U.S. legislators solely based on their votes.
