The Whitehall Police Department is currently accepting applications for its upcoming session of the Whitehall Citizens Police Academy that will begin April 10th, 2023.

The eight-week course has been designed to fit the lifestyle of working residents. Classes will be held one evening a week (Monday evenings) for 2 to 2.5 hours. Participants will receive insight into the day-to-day operations of the Division of Police and will learn more about the functions of a police officer, including the legalities of police work. Participants will become acquainted with the different divisions within the department, such as the Detective Bureau, Communications, K-9 Unit, and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT). The course is open to Whitehall residents 18 and older and those who work within the City of Whitehall.
