Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio Is Grateful for Support from New River Electrical Corporation

Staff members at New River Electrical Corporation recently volunteered their time and talent with Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio. Every year, New River Electrical Corporation selects an organization in the community to volunteer with. The staff members at New River specifically chose Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio after the care team provided hospice care for the wife of a New River staff member.

Staff members from New River assisted by painting more than 2,000 square feet of fencing, creating more than 550 handmade item kits, and writing more than 790 cards of support for patients and families.

In addition to their volunteerism, the staff at New River presented Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio with a generous donation of more than $6,000 from the proceeds of a raffle and events at their annual golf outing on Sept. 23. This donation will be used for patient care and services at Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio.

“We’re grateful to New River Electrical Corporation for their generous donation and thoughtful volunteerism,” said Stacy Geller, vice president of philanthropic development at Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio. “Their support of our mission makes a difference in the lives of the patients and families we are honored and privileged to serve.”

Ohio’s Hospice of Central Ohio, an affiliate of Ohio’s Hospice, has provided a holistic, community-based approach to hospice care since 1982. With locations in Newark, Columbus, Lancaster and Zanesville, the not-for-profit organization serves 13 counties in central Ohio and is dedicated to supporting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. In addition, two inpatient care centers at Licking Memorial Hospital and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are available for symptom management.
