We have at least 24 hours before we start to see some slight relief from the heat. If you do not currently have power, AEP’s outage map provides the locations of cooling shelters at www.AEPOhio.com/OutageMap.
As a reminder:
▶Do not leave anyone, including pets, in a closed vehicle (even if the windows are cracked)
▶Take frequent breaks and drink plenty of water
▶Limit outdoor activities when possible
▶Wear light-colored clothing
Franklin County residents ages 60 or older are eligible for a free 20” box fan from the Franklin County Office on Aging. Call (614) 525-6200 to request yours.
