Ohio Senator Theresa Gavarone, who serves as Senate Majority Floor Leader and represents the 2nd Senate District, has recently highlighted local events and legislative efforts in a series of posts on her social media account.
On April 14, 2026, Gavarone shared her experience at a local political gathering: “Another great Wood County Lincoln Day Dinner is in the books! 2026 is a critical election year and Wood County is ready to deliver a major win for Republicans up and down the ballot!”
Two days later, on April 16, she recognized youth achievement in Toledo: “Congratulations to Olivia Ford for being named 2026 Youth of the Year by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Toledo! It was an honor to present Olivia with a Senate Commendation, celebrating this significant achievement!”
On April 17, Gavarone announced new legislation regarding driver’s permits for juveniles: “I recently introduced Senate Bill 419, legislation that would lower the age a juvenile can obtain their temporary instruction permit to 15. By lowering the age to 15 to obtain a temporary permit, but expanding the time a juvenile must hold the permit, we are giving our new”
Gavarone resides in Bowling Green with her husband Jim and their three children. She co-owns Mr. Spots restaurant with her husband and previously served on Bowling Green City Council before joining the Ohio House of Representatives.
