Later, at 3:37 AM, he tweeted again saying, “3:37 AM. 13 hours in, and we aren’t stopping. @WaysandMeansGOP is working to prevent the largest tax increase on working families in American history.” This tweet emphasized the committee’s commitment to preventing what they perceive as a significant potential tax burden on American families.

Finally, at 12:02 PM, Carey announced a significant development with the statement, ” PASSED out of @WaysandMeansGOP We just advanced our tax package after an all-night markup to take the next step in preventing the largest tax increase in American history.” This tweet confirmed that the committee had successfully advanced their proposed tax legislation after extensive deliberations.

Congressman Mike Carey was born in Sabina, Ohio in 1971 and currently resides in Columbus. He graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993.
