Congressman Mike Carey, who has been representing Ohio's 15th district since 2021, recently shared updates on social media regarding a local competition held through his X account. The competition, known for its engagement of the public in selecting creative works, concluded with the announcement of a winner.

On May 2, 2025, Congressman Carey announced the winner of the People’s Choice Award, highlighting that the selected work was Isabella Fowler's "Willow." Carey wrote, "The People's Choice Award winner, selected by a poll here on my X account, was Isabella Fowler's work, 'Willow.'"

In a subsequent post that same day, Carey expressed his gratitude towards his team member Saidy for her significant contributions to the success of the event. He stated, "Thank you also to a critical member of my team, Saidy, for all her help in coordinating this competition and making it a record-breaking success!"

Additionally, Carey acknowledged the efforts of the judges who participated in this year's competition, which saw a record number of submissions. He remarked, "I also want to offer all my thanks to our wonderful judges who took on the responsibility of evaluating this year's record-number of submissions."

Mike Carey, born in 1971 in Sabina, Ohio, holds a BA from Ohio State University and currently resides in Columbus. He succeeded Steve Stivers as a U.S. Congressman in 2021.
