Joyce Beatty, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman representing Ohio’s 3rd district, recently shared her activities and legislative initiatives through social media posts. Beatty has been in office since 2013, succeeding Mike Turner, and she previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1999 to 2008.

On March 14, 2025, Beatty highlighted her participation in an event with Accenture during Women’s History Month. She discussed "the socioeconomic challenges faced by underrepresented women in Central Ohio—from education to pay equity and dependent care." The full post can be accessed here.

Later that day, Beatty announced a collaborative legislative effort with Representative Mike Carey. They introduced the bipartisan National STEM Week Act aimed at promoting STEM education opportunities for underserved students. Her statement reads: "Today, in partnership with @RepMikeCarey, I was proud to introduce the bipartisan National STEM Week Act, which promotes STEM education opportunities for underserved students. A subsequent tweet on March 14 provided a link to further information about this initiative without additional commentary. The tweet is accessible here.
