On January 31, Rep. Beatty commemorated the issuance of the first Social Security check 85 years ago. She noted its significance as a "historic step in giving Americans their hard-earned benefits." She also highlighted President Biden's recent action to expand coverage through the Social Security Fairness Act. On February 1, Beatty reflected on African American history and its impact on the nation. "For 400+ years, African Americans have been architects of change, advocates for justice, and visionaries of the future. Their stories shaped our nation’s soul — and deserve to be told. This Black History Month, I reintroduced the Black History is American History Act."

On February 3, Rep.
