Representative Mike Carey of Ohio's 15th District has announced a significant investment in the Columbus area by defense manufacturing company Anduril. The company plans to establish its Arsenal-1 hyperscale facility near Rickenbacker Airport, marking the largest single job creation project in Ohio's history with over 4,000 jobs.

"The future is here in Ohio," stated Congressman Carey. "Anduril’s investment will transform an empty hangar into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and provide thousands of good paying jobs to Ohioans. We thank Governor Mike DeWine for his leadership, which has fostered innovation in our state, and welcome Anduril to Ohio’s Fifteenth District."

Brian Schimpf, CEO of Anduril, expressed enthusiasm about the project: “Arsenal-1 represents a step forward in how we manufacture the autonomous systems and weapons that our nation and our allies need to remain secure.” He highlighted Ohio's infrastructure and talent pool as key factors in selecting the location for this historic effort.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine commented on the state's role in innovation within defense and aerospace industries: “Ohio has long been a leader in innovation in the defense and aerospace industries, and today’s announcement solidifies our state’s role in shaping the future of America’s defense." He emphasized that Arsenal-1 would bring numerous high-quality jobs and strengthen both security and economic progress.

The establishment of Arsenal-1 follows other major investments in Ohio's Fifteenth District by companies such as Advanced Drainage Systems, Google, and Honda.
