Representative Mike Carey (OH-15) has announced the winners of his office's 2024 Congressional Art Competition. The annual competition invites students from the Fifteenth Congressional District to submit their artwork, with this year's entries exceeding fifty submissions.

"Every year, we look forward to seeing the impressive artwork created by students in the Fifteenth Congressional District," said Congressman Carey. "This year’s submissions certainly did not disappoint. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to the artists and judges who lent their talent and time to make this year’s competition a success."

The participants ranged from ninth through twelfth graders within the district. The panel of judges included Sarah Sisser, CEO of CreativeOhio, along with Sarah Berez and Amanda Kepner from the Columbus Museum of Art. They selected the following winners:

In first place was Violet Breland from Greenon Junior High School in Enon, Ohio for her oil painting on canvas titled "The Glisten of Crimson".
