Rep. Mike Dovilla, a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, recently used his social media platform to discuss legislative efforts and promote upcoming events.

On April 1, 2026, Dovilla announced his sponsorship of H.B. 486, writing “H.B. 486, the Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act, which @clickforohio and I are sponsoring, aims to restore truth to an educational arena intentionally biased against the influence of religion and morality as historical fact.

Teachers should not be afraid to offer instruction https://t.co/o46tZSaQls“. The bill is named after Charlie Kirk and is intended to address perceived bias in educational content related to religion and morality.

Later that day, on April 1, 2026, Dovilla invited followers to a fundraising event for Dan Hawkins: “Please join us for a luncheon fundraiser supporting my friend, @JusticeDHawkins. Decisively elected to the Ohio Supreme Court in 2024, Dan is a man of integrity who draws on his experience as a prosecutor and judge to interpret and uphold the law. It’s essential that we keep this https://t.co/FlwaWucdvK”. Justice Dan Hawkins was elected to the Ohio Supreme Court in 2024.

On April 3, 2026, Dovilla shared a religious reflection by quoting D.A. Carson: ‘”It was not nails that held Jesus to that wretched cross; it was his unqualified resolution, out of love for his Father, to do his Father’s will—and it was his love for sinners like me.” -D.A. Carson https://t.co/Pz8OVTzuNG’.

Rep. Mike Dovilla has served multiple terms in the Ohio House of Representatives and has been active in state politics with a focus on education policy and community engagement.
