Rep. Joyce Beatty, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Ohio’s 3rd district since 2013, has recently addressed topics ranging from labor achievements to political developments and criticisms of former President Donald Trump in a series of posts on her social media account.

On September 1, 2025, Rep. Beatty marked Labor Day by highlighting the accomplishments of American workers and unions. She wrote, “On Labor Day, we honor the achievements of American workers. From securing safer working conditions to establishing the 40-hour work week, union workers have built a stronger, fairer, and more prosperous nation. Today and every day, we celebrate the workers who continue to power https://t.co/Pftbc2y4I5”.

The following day, on September 2, 2025, she commented on Congressman Jerry Nadler’s decision to retire at the end of his current term. Beatty stated, “Please see my statement on Congressman Jerry Nadler’s decision to retire at the end of his current term in the House of Representatives. https://t.co/gqerRJEqyE”.

On September 3, 2025, Rep. Beatty criticized actions by former President Donald Trump and his administration. She posted: “Trump’s actions are not about addressing crime. They are about instilling fear in our communities and distracting from the failed tariff policies, unlawful actions, and lack of transparency from this administration. Joyce Beatty has served in Congress since replacing Mike Turner in 2013 and previously held office in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1999 to 2008. Born in Dayton in 1950 and now residing in Columbus at age 73, she earned her BA from Central State University in 1972.
