State Rep. Jennifer Gross, chair of the Ohio House Medicaid Committee and representative for the 45th House District, used her Twitter account in early May to address concerns related to Medicaid spending and share commentary on state issues.

On May 5, Gross wrote: “This is why I called a Joint Medicaid committee to hear from the AG Auditor and Medicaid specifically discussing fraud. That was in late March where the auditor pointed to TWO zip codes in Columbus who are using 40% of Medicaid homecare dollars.”

The following day, she posted a brief endorsement with “THIS!!” on May 6, referencing another online statement or article.

Later that same day, Gross commented on Tennessee with “God bless the Volunteer state!!”.

Gross’s recent public statements reflect her ongoing legislative focus on healthcare oversight. According to her official biography, she draws on experience as a retired lieutenant colonel after 21 years in the United States Air Force, including deployments to Saudi Arabia and Sarajevo. She serves as chair of the House Medicaid Committee and sits on several other committees focused on community revitalization, government oversight, and health policy.

Her background in both military service and healthcare informs her approach to legislative leadership. Gross resides in West Chester with her family and maintains membership in veterans organizations such as American Legion Post 681 and VFW Post 7696.

Gross’s attention to alleged irregularities within Ohio’s Medicaid program aligns with her stated commitment to government oversight and efficient public spending.
