Rep. Jennifer Gross, a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, posted several statements on her X (formerly Twitter) account on August 5, 2025, addressing education policy and legislative actions.

In one post at 19:20 UTC, Gross questioned school funding and promoted educational choice by stating, “How much money does it take to show no amount of money is enough? Ed Choice is and continues to be the answer.”

Earlier in the day at 16:44 UTC, she shared a separate post that included only a link: “https://t.co/Ps1sTzZy05”.

Later that evening at 19:26 UTC, Gross referenced legislative action in West Virginia and called for similar measures in Ohio regarding a veto by Governor Mike DeWine. She wrote, “WV can do it…. how about we override the DeWine Veto on this issue? https://t.co/johrd4xHHo”

Educational Choice programs like “Ed Choice” are designed to provide families with public funding to send their children to private schools or choose alternative educational options outside traditional public schools. These programs have been a subject of ongoing debate in many states over their impact on public education funding and student outcomes.

Governor Mike DeWine has previously used his veto power on various education-related bills in Ohio. The process for overriding a gubernatorial veto requires support from three-fifths of both chambers of the Ohio General Assembly.

West Virginia has enacted significant school choice legislation in recent years, expanding options for families through voucher programs and education savings accounts.
