The Ohio Division of Real Estate announced on May 6 new updates to its Licensing, Permitting and Inspections (LPI) eLicense portal. The changes include additional features for brokers and brokerages, as well as forthcoming improvements to continuing education information.

The updates are important for real estate professionals in Ohio who rely on the LPI eLicense system for licensing and compliance tasks. These enhancements aim to streamline processes for brokers and their affiliated agents.

According to the announcement, Ohio REALTORS has produced a new instructional video demonstrating how brokers can claim both their broker and brokerage licenses, view affiliated agents, and certify agent applications with step-by-step guidance. The video is available on lpi.elicense.ohio.gov, where users can follow along with detailed instructions specific to brokers.

A key feature restored in this update is the addition of brokerage information in the LPI eLicense lookup tool. This functionality was previously available but had been missing from recent versions of the system. The Division said that Continuing Education information will be added this summer, allowing licensees easier access to their educational records through an online lookup tool.

Ohio REALTORS said it will continue sharing further updates from ODRE as they become available. For questions about the LPI eLicense System, ODRE provides a Common Questions page for users seeking assistance.

Ohio Realtors represents more than 40,000 real estate professionals and affiliates across all 88 counties in Ohio via 30 local boards; it supports its members through advocacy efforts at state and federal levels while offering resources such as scholarships through the Ohio REALTORS Foundation, according to the official website.
