Congressman Mike Carey, representing Ohio’s 15th district, has been vocal on social media about issues affecting his constituents. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2021, Carey’s recent posts highlight his commitment to tax relief and community service.

On May 20, 2025, Carey emphasized the urgency of providing financial relief to Ohio families with a succinct message: “There’s no time to waste. Ohio families deserve tax relief!”

The following day, May 21, he expressed condolences for Rep. Gerry Connolly’s passing. Carey described Connolly as “an incredibly kind and honorable man who loved his community,” noting their policy differences but recognizing Connolly’s dedication to service. He shared that he was “incredibly saddened to hear of his passing” and is keeping Connolly’s family in his prayers.

Later that same day, Carey advocated for legislative action on a bill aimed at providing significant support for American workers and families. He urged immediate action with the statement: “Our bill will deliver historic relief to American workers and families. It’s time to act.”

As a background note, Mike Carey has represented Ohio’s 15th District since succeeding Steve Stivers in 2021. Born in Sabina, Ohio in 1971 and currently residing in Columbus, Carey graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in 1993.
